Treth House is a California-style eco-home close to the famous Trevaunance Cove in the beautiful Cornish village of St Agnes. ('Treth' is a Cornish word meaning 'beach' or 'sea-shore'.) It has a natural sedum roof and high levels of insulation - cool in summer, snug in winter!
Treth House is the ideal base for surfing, relaxing on the beach, walking or just getting away from it all.
It is situated on a quiet hillside site off Rocky Lane. The house has commanding views over the wooded valley and towards the sea - in fact, the photo at the top of this page was taken just a few metres from the front door! The beach and a great fish-and-chip shop are all less than five minutes' walk.
The renowned Driftwood Spars gastro-pub is also 5 minutes walk away offering live music and open mike nights throughout the year. Check out www.driftwood spas.co.uk for more information.
The centre of St Agnes is only 10 minutes' walk away. There are shops for just about everything, including two mini-markets, as well as a great choice of pubs and restaurants. Our favourite - No. 4 Peterville - has just beaten Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver and Nathan Outlaw to be voted the top restaurant in Cornwall. And it's only 10 mins' walk away!
